Goal 5: 100% transparency in whistleblowing channels
Eletrobras provides its professionals, third parties and society in general with a Whistleblowing Channel and periodically publishes on its website a report on the manifestations received, including complaints, as well as their respective treatment
All complaints go through an investigation process and, if justified, result in remedial actions and/or the application of penalties. The Eletrobras Code of Conduct, in chapter 4. Effectiveness of the Code, as well as the Compliance Policy, in section 5.1.7 Management of reports, investigations and consequences, have non-retaliation clauses for whistleblowers. Both documents are available on the company's website. In addition to these regulations, Eletrobras has an internal standard that defines the management guidelines for the Ombudsman Channel and the Whistleblowing Channel, the processes for handling complaints and detected infractions, and the management of consequences.
In July 2024, the Eletrobras Consequences Committee was created, with representatives from the People, Legal and Compliance areas, with the aim of analyzing the application of all punishments in the company, either due to investigations into complaints received by the Channel, or at the request of the managers of the professionals involved in infractions, at its monthly meetings.
The results of whistleblowing investigations feed back into the Compliance Program for its continuous improvement and evolution.
