Goal 4: 100% transparency in the compliance and governance structure
The compliance structure at Eletrobras involves Executive Compliance Management, subordinate to the Vice-Presidency of Governance, Risks, Compliance and Sustainability (VGR), which coordinates the Eletrobras Compliance Program.
To guarantee autonomy in its performance, the new governance structure of the Eletrobras Compliance Program, implemented in 2023, was centralized in the Holding, prioritizing budget, independence, shielding and efficiency. An environment of protection is also guaranteed for employees who work at all stages of the management and handling of complaints in order to preserve their institutional independence and the neutrality of decisions.
The integrity of senior and middle management professionals is rigorously assessed, including an analysis of their ethical and integrity record, as well as a thorough background check using appropriate tools.
Governance and Compliance Structure at Eletrobras
The Executive Compliance Management makes quarterly reports on the Compliance Program to the Audit and Risks Committee and the Eletrobras Board of Directors, informing them of the actions taken and the main results and indicators, as well as the actions underway and planned. The committee issues a series of strategic guidelines and recommendations that guide the actions of the areas responsible for the program.
